Alan Cottrill is a world-renowned figurative sculptor from Zanesville, Ohio. After a successful career as an entrepreneur, Alan made a mid-life career change when he studied sculpting at the Art Students’ League and the National Academy of Design in New York City. During 25+ years of sculpting, he has created 127 life-sized and larger monuments around the United States, including a larger than life-size Thomas Edison figure in the United States Capitol's Statuary Hall.
Today, Alan continues to create national monuments from his Studio and Gallery in Zanesville, which has become a tourist destination, welcoming thousands of visitors every year.
